A wooden walkway leading to a beach with candles and palm trees, perfect for a romantic wedding ceremony.

If you’re anything like us, you’ve spent the last weeks scrolling Pinterest for the most beautiful island getaways, imagining yourself lying in a hammock under a single palm while sipping something magical.  After all we’ve been through here in New England, battling a pandemic that led straight into winter, it’s clear we all need some time away in a place I am going to term “destination decompress”.

Crawling out of this pandemic as a business owner means keeping my eyes and ears open for emerging trends in our industry.  It’s tough to navigate the direction weddings will take as the world awakens, but one thing is for sure.  We will absolutely be seeing brides who are planning a trip to the islands to take their vows and enjoy a long awaited tropical vacation in destination decompress.  As a result, a portion of our buying strategy will need to focus on the right gown elements for the perfect tropical wedding. Gowns for brides, moms and bridesmaids will need to be easy to transport and feel light and breezy while still making jaws drop.  This is such a fun endeavor for us.  This month on our social pages, we will focus on all things tropical weddings.  Learn some great tips for planning your event in the islands, see some inspo pics that will leave you stalking your travel agent, and of course, learn what gowns we’ve paired with the setting.  Note that we will be introducing some new bridal designers to our mix – Colby John and Madi Lane – as we focus on destination decompress.  We couldn’t be more excited to reveal these new designs with you!

Stay Well and Stay Positive!
